The betting public was all over the favored Longhorns at 75 percent on the spread.

“This should be a close game, but Texas seems to be much stronger up front than Oklahoma State, and that will matter in the fourth quarter,” suggested Blake Frazier of BetOnline.

He added:  “Texas has one of the very best defensive lines in the United States, physical and deep with plenty of speed on the edges as well. Defensive coordinator Manny Diaz has been a good hire, having replaced former coordinator and coach-in-waiting Will Muschamp, who decided to become the head man at Florida instead of biding his time in an attempt to take over for head coach Mack Brown. Diaz has revived Texas' defense by placing an emphasis on strength in the trenches.”

Oklahoma State has won the last two in this series while the visitor has gone 4-1 Straight Up.  Prior to the past two seasons, Texas had dominated this series.

Here is an interesting little factoid to keep in mind:  The Longhorns are 4-10 Against The SPread in their last 14 conference games while the Cowboys are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 conference games
