ESPN Thursday Night football will get the college football weekend rolling in exciting fashion as Oklahoma State will host Texas A&M.  Be sure to check SBG Global.com for the side and total lines on this Big 12 South Division showdown.  Kickoff Thursday night is at 7:50 PM Eastern Time.

Both the Texas A&M Aggies and the Oklahoma State Cowboys are entering this matchup undefeated at 3-0 straight up.  They are both highly explosive offensive teams that figure to be the top challengers at upsetting either Oklahoma or Texas for the top spot in the Big 12 South.  Both teams took last week off in preparation for this one.

Texas A&M has covered the spread in 2 out of 3 games this year with 2 of their college football games going over the total.  In Mike Sherman’s third year as head coach the program is finally taking shape in his image.  The offense ranks 9th in the nation and features exceptional balance.  Quarterback Jerrod Johnson has completed 59% of his passes for a 7.9 yards per attempt average with a 7/4 touchdown/interception ratio.  He has two top targets in Jeff Fuller and Ryan Swope.  Fuller has 18 catches for 280 yards good for a 15.6 yards per catch average and 3 touchdowns.  Swope has 21 catches for 202 yards and a 9.6 yards per catch average.  The running back tandem of Christine Michael and Cyrus Gray makes the Aggies a complete offensive team.  Michael has gained 331 yards and has a 5.8 yards per carry average with 3 touchdowns while Gray has 188 yards and a 4.9 yards per carry average with 2 touchdowns.  The defense has shown marked improvement from last year and ranks 10th in the country.

Oklahoma State’s high octane passing attack is rolling right along despite the departure of former star quarterback Zach Robinson.  The Cowboys have the top ranked offense in all of college football as quarterback Brandon Weeden is completing 73% of his passes for 9.7 yards per attempt and an 11/2 touchdown/interception ratio.  Justin Blackmon is the top receiver with 24 catches and 431 yards with an 18.0 yards per catch average and 8 touchdowns.  Running back Kendall Hunter provides balance with 473 yards and a super 7.9 yards per carry average with 6 touchdowns.  The defense ranks 79th however and will need to tighten up significantly in this one.
