SNF Bengals vs. Steelers Betting Line: Dalton vs. Roethlisberger Fantasy Matchup

The SNF Bengals vs. Steelers betting line had Pittsburgh as a -3.5 home favorite here

Cincinnati has an outside shot at earning the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye with a win here should Denver find a way to lose at home to Oakland.  The Broncos do still have something to play for in the way of wrapping up the number 2 seed themselves.  Denver is a -14 point favorite in that game.

70% of those betting the Bengals vs. Steelers Week 17 game were backing Pittsburgh.  The line really hasn’t moved much off the -3.5 aside from a few 3’s and 4’s.

Both these teams are looking for their 11th win and, as Gambling911.com reported this past week, many gamblers believe the Steelers and Cowboys will be playing in the 2015 Super Bowl.

Pittsburgh has been somewhat dominant over Cincinnati in recent years, going 7-3 Straight Up and winning the last two meetings, each by 10 or more points.  The Bengals did win the two previous games.

The Bengals have improved to 9-2 Against The Spread in their last 11 games in December while the Steelers are 6-0 ATS.  Pittsburgh has also gone 7-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record while holding its own in the AFC North, going 7-3 ATS.

As far as the Andy Dalton vs. Ben Roethlisberger Fantasy matchup goes,  Roethlisberger did enjoy a season best 350 yards and three touchdowns thrown against Cincy earlier in the season.

Dalton may have a rougher time of it in Pittsburgh.  In seven road games this season Dalton has thrown for over 233 yards just once, in Week 1 no less.  A.J. Green may be Dalton’s best target but unfortunately the Bengals wide receiver is suffering from an arm injury.  Green is responsible for racking up 224 yards and a touchdown in his earlier season meeting against Pittsburgh and will face a weak secondary here that could lead to him duplicating that performance assuming the injury does not get in the way.
