The Seattle Seahawks are better on offense and better on defense than the San Diego Chargers and they get the added edge in this game of having more rest. They played on Thursday in Week 1 while the San Diego Chargers played on Monday. And an extra three days of rest can be huge in the NFL and it is not like the Seattle Seahawks need more advantages than they already have.
The San Diego Chargers blew their opener as they lost 18-17 to the Arizona Cardinals. Now the team has to face the defending Super Bowl champs with short rest. “We’ve got to minimize the mistakes,” head coach Mike McCoy said, “We made way too many mistakes, little things in the game yesterday. Against a good football team that’s coming here on Sunday, you can’t give them the opportunities. You’ve got to put them away when you have the chance.” The San Diego Chargers have not started 0-2 since 2008.
