Saints vs. 49ers Monday Night Football

The Saints vs. 49ers Monday Night Football game found itself getting the most betting action as of Wednesday.  This marks a rare occasion in which a Monday Night Football game is getting heavier earlier volume than any of the Sunday games.  Some 95 percent of those betting on this game were on New Orleans to cover a -5 point spread found at BetED.com.

The reigning Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints beat Minnesota at home by a score of 14-9.  This week they were listed at number 2 in Gambling911.com’s NFL Rankings after the Green Bay packers.  Drew Brees completed 27 of 36 passes for 237 yards and one touchdown.

The San Francisco 49ers enjoyed great fanfare coming into this season but were embarrassed in Seattle this past Sunday by the Seahawks in a lopsided 31-6 affair. Matt Hasselbeck threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.

The Saints opened as -4 ½ favorites but the line seems to be trending upwards in an effort to get more action on the 49ers.  New Orleans has owned this series over the last four games.

Important Saints vs. 49ers odds trends to consider before betting on this game include:

The Saints are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.

The Saints are 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 games following a ATS win.

They are also 3-9 ATS in their last 12 vs. NFC.

The 49ers are 5-0-3 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss.

They are 8-2-2 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
