Ravens vs. Texans Point Spread: Fantasy Forecast for Joe Flacco, Justin Forsett

The Ravens vs. Texans point spread had Baltimore as a -4.5 to -5 road favorite in a “must win” scenario if they want to advance into the Playoffs.

Baltimore sits in 3rd place in the highly competitive AFC North, a half-game behind the Bengals and tied with Pittsburgh.  The Steelers, however, own the tie-breaker.  Baltimore can do itself a huge favor by winning their 4th straight game and another next week while hoping for Pittsburgh and Cincinnati to falter down the final stretch.

Hope for this to happen is especially strong when we look at the Bengals Monday Night Football opponent, Denver, then they head to Pittsburgh.   The Steelers do host this weekend’s game going up against the Chiefs.

Baltimore has won three of four against Houston since 2011 and, with former Texans head coach Gary Kubiak now the Offensive Coordinator for the Ravens, Baltimore could have a nice advantage here.

The Houston quarterback situation is iffy right now and it doesn’t help that Houston has allowed an average of 257 yards passing being that Baltimore QB Joe Flacco arrives having at least 220 yards passing and a score in four straight appearances.  For Fantasy aficionados, Flacco does look like a “must play”.

Houston has also allowed 647 total yards and two touchdowns in five meetings versus other tailbacks among the top-11 rushers in the league, according to ESPN.com, and this bodes especially well for Ravens running back Justin Forsett.

It should be of little surprise that nearly 80% of those betting this game were backing Baltimore.
