Pittsburgh vs. Notre Dame

The Pittsburgh vs. Notre Dame spread has moved up from The Fighting Irish -5 ½ to -6 at BetED.com.  Both teams have disappointing records of 2-2 and 2-3, respectively, coming into this matchup.  Gambling911.com anticipates the line to move up even further to -6 1/2 with just under 90 percent of those betting this game jumping on the Notre Dame bandwagon.  The online sportsbooks presumably will be wanting more action on the underdogs here.

Pittsburgh beat Florida Int. last week by a score of 44-17. Ray Graham ran for 277 yards and three touchdowns in his first college start.

Notre Dame shut down Boston College last week by a score of 31-13. Dayne Crist threw for two first-quarter touchdowns and ran for another.

The away team has won 4 of the last 5 in this series.  Pittsburgh has won the last two.  The Panthers have only been dismantled once in this series by more than the current opening spread, with another loss considered a “push”, assuming the +6 spread.

The Panthers are 3-10 Against The Spread in their last 13 games as a road underdog of 3.5-10.0.

Two thoroughly brutal stats to consider before betting on Notre Dame in this game are that the Fighting Irish are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win and they are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games as a favorite.

You can bet the Pittsburgh vs. Notre Dame spread at BetED.com Here.  Remember, they are paying out 50% more on your first bet if it’s a winner, up to $250.  Dan Shapiro reporting.
