Panthers Eagles Spread Action Sees Carolina Getting 80 Percent of Bets

The Panthers Eagles spread action was especially lopsided for a Monday Night Football game with bookmakers hoping for a Philadelphia cover.  BetOnline was offering this one at Carolina -3.

Nearly 80 percent of all bets on the spread were coming in on Carolina as of Monday morning.

While this may be a matchup between two teams that only have 5 wins between them with only five weeks left in the regular season, Philadelphia comes into this game with two of their quarterbacks out of commission.

Nick Foles will start for Philly.  This is the same Nick Foles who finished a dreadful 21-of-46 for 204 yards and two interceptions in a painful loss to Washington a few weeks back.

"I know we're letting the fans down and the city down," Eagles head coach Andy Reid said. "I completely understand that. I completely understand how they feel on this. I feel it from the football team, our coaches and players. There are no excuses for it."

The good news for Philadelphia is that they will face a Carolina team with only two wins on the season.

The bad news for Philly is that these Panthers are 6-2 Against The Spread in their last 8 road games.  The Eagles are an abysmal 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss.
