Packers-Steelers Super Bowl Line

The Packers-Steelers Super Bowl line was still between -2.5 and -3 favoring Green Bay across the board.  Those two spreads were evenly divided among the online sportsbooks.  The Las Vegas books were a lot more consistent it seemed, with nearly all of them offering a line of -2.5 as we headed into Saturday morning.

The latest betting trends for the primary Packers-Steelers Super Bowl lines were as follows:

55 percent of the spread betting was going Green Bay’s way and, because this game was getting such significant action, the 5 percent difference is substantial.  The sportsbooks will look to cash in on Pittsburgh here.

The OVER in this Super Bowl was getting significant action at most books and promises to be a killer if the public is correct that the score will exceed 44.5.

The Steelers were getting good backing on the money line, which at SBG Global would pay out $12 for every $10 bet should Pittsburgh win outright.  70 percent of those betting the money line were backing Pittsburgh.

The prop betting in this Super Bowl will have a major impact on the books.

Noted Vegas bookmaker Jimmy Vacarro told Matt Youmans Friday regarding Super Bowl action: "We've taken as much money on props as we have on the game, which is incredible".
