Orange Bowl 2010 Odds

Orange Bowl 2010 odds opened at Georgia Tech -2 ½ and the line has since jumped up to -5 at Sports Interaction.com.

The Orange Bowl is normally one of the most sought after Bowl games in terms of viewership, however, this year's game may turn out to be a bust.  Iowa vs. Georgia Tech could still be interesting, especially to those getting on the game.  It's high powered offense vs. tough defense.

"No question that Iowa's defense is stellar across the board and they've shown that time and time again," Orange Bowl media host Larry Gautier said. "Georgia Tech's offense is a very unique offense. Their strength is their flexbone, wishbone, whatever coach Johnson calls that. Iowa's defense with A.J. (Edds), with Pat (Angerer) and the defensive folks that you have ... it's going to be mano-a-mano at the end of the day."

The Yellow Jackets are 11th in the Football Bowl Subdivision in total offense and will be facing a Hawkeyes squad that is 11th in total defense.

These two teams have not played one another before.

Some important Orange Bowl 2010 odds trends to consider before betting on this game include:

The Hawkeyes are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.

The Hawkeyes are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss.

The Hawkeyes are 10-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

The Yellow Jackets are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

The Yellow Jackets are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.

The Yellow Jackets are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win.
