NFL Betting Lines – 2011 (Week 1)

The New Orleans Saints meet the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers on the road in what should be an immediate test for the Packers. New Orleans is widely believed to be one of the top teams in the league this season with odds to win the Super Bowl at slightly better than 10/1.
There are a bunch of competitive games during Week 1 of the 2011 regular season, which will equate to plenty of NFL betting activity.
Pittsburgh comes into Baltimore as the +3 underdogs. Detroit is expected to improve this season and arrive in Tampa Bay, another team with high expectations, as the +3 underdog.
Atlanta is a -2 road favorite in Chicago, a team that is getting little love coming into the 2011 regular NFL season.
Indianapolis vs. Houston is always a good high scoring affair but will the Texans finally demonstrate their consistency this season.
Philadelphia vs. St. Louis may otherwise have been a yawner to just about everyone except diehard fans and NFL bettors. This year, the Rams should ramp things up while Philadelphia remains a favorite to win the championship game. The Eagles are a -5.5 favorite in St. Louis.
The Dallas Cowboys come to the Meadowlands and play the New York Jets Sunday night as +4 underdogs while New England heads to Miami as a -5.5 favorite in the first of one Monday Night double header. Oakland play Denver later that evening with the betting line a PICK.
