2015-16 Projections and Expectations
A very young and inexperienced squad will be the product that David Beaty will be providing this season, but that won't stop the fans, students and alumni from putting close to 50,000 patrons in Memorial Stadium. It is tough to not recognize that the Jayhawks have won 12 games in the last five seasons, having no more than three wins in any of those given campaigns. Most media outlets don't have Kansas winning more than a game or two this season, so we will surmise that they see South Dakota State and possibly Memphis as the two early wins.
There might be a couple of pivot games that could go in either direction with a late something or other than changes the outcome of a game, but not many would argue that a 4- or 5-win season might be extremely difficult for Kansas to achieve. We do agree with that assessment and another possible 3-win season could certainly be the case in Lawrence this year, and we do not see too many Kansas names on the national watch lists out there either.
