Dave Mason reporting for BetOnline advised that his book made out like bandits thanks to – of all things – a failed Jaguars road cover with Jacksonville favored in the Meadowlands against the Jets.

Mason tweeted:

“The Jags are our biggest liability so far today (not sure if I've ever said that). Just 14% of cash on the Jets.”

This was the first time that Jacksonville was favored on the road in several seasons.

The game went into overtime before New York ultimately won by a touchdown in the waning extra minutes.

New York was tied with New England in second place in the AFC East at 2-2.

Buffalo led after Week 4 following a shock win in Atlanta.  The Bills would pay out $1500 for every $100 bet should they win the AFC East.  A victory by the Jets would pay out $7500!!!  Odds were still available but at reduced prices.
