Green Bay Packers Still Have Problems: Open -7 vs. Browns

The Green Bay Packers may have a lot of NFL fans and sports bettors alike fooled following their trouncing of the Detroit Lions Sunday afternoon.  The Packers open up against another bad team, the Cleveland Browns, as a -7 road favorite at Sportsbook.com.  But don't be fooled, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk warns.

"It would be easy to look at the final score and conclude that the bye week allowed the Packers to work out their problems.  But they still have problems.  Especially on the offensive line.  ‘Baby Swiss' is giving up an average of five sacks per game -- and they stayed on pace with five more on Sunday against the Lions."

Despite a one-sided win, the Packers' issues with pass protection continued. The lowly Cleveland Browns could provide the perfect medicine for Green Bay's woes once again next week, but not the cure.

Assuming another big win in Cleveland, the public will perceive a 4-2 Packers team as better than what they really are squaring off against the Minnesota Vikings at home in what is considered among the most highly anticipated games of the season.  It is after all Brett Favre's homecoming.  The Vikings were likely to open as a -1 to -1 1/2 road favorite in that game.

Look for a bunch of fun Brett Favre betting props at Sportsbook.com with that game in two weeks.
