Giants vs. Jets Betting Odds – Preseason Week 2: 80 Percent on the Under

The Giants vs. Jets betting odds for Week 2 of the 2012 Preseason Saturday had the Jets as a -1 point favorite at WagerWeb.com

The spread action was leaning more towards the Jets, who were getting 62 percent.

Betting on the 36.5 total was a whole different story as 80 percent of total bettors were backing the UNDER here.

The Giants have won all three in this series over the past nine years with a 15 point victory against the Jets on December 24 of last year.

Hakeem Nicks and five other players are currently on the injury list for the Giants while the Jets have only a single player on the injury list, Sione Pouha.

Make no mistake about it, this preseason game will be all about Tim Tebow vs. Mark Sanchez to try and get a glimpse of which man will ultimately become the Jets starting quarterback.

Those poor Giants, meanwhile, get little respect, despite having won two Super Bowls in the past five years.  Oddsmakers have Philadelphia winning the NFC East while the Giants would pay out 2/1 odds or $200 for every $100 bet.  They are 18/1 long shots to win the 2013 Super Bowl.

Gambling911.com would be remiss in pointing out that the public certainly favors the New York Giants early on.  They are getting the most action of any other team early on to cover Week 1’s spread after the New England Patriots.
