Georgia vs. Missouri Line Plummets With News of Todd Gurley Suspension

The Georgia vs. Missouri line had been Bulldogs -3 but the number dropped three full points to a PICK’EM late Thursday at Sportsbook.ag following news of Georgia’s tailback Todd Gurley being placed on suspension.

Gurley been suspended indefinitely pending an investigation into an alleged violation of NCAA rules, the school announced late Thursday.

The impact of his absence could prove to be tremendous as Gurley currently leads the SEC with 773 rushing yards and had scored eight touchdowns in the first five games for the No. 13 Bulldogs.

There is no word on the nature of the alleged violation.

“I’m obviously very disappointed,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said in a statement. “The important thing for our team is to turn all our attention toward preparation for Missouri.”

Michael David Smith suggests that sitting out the rest of the season could actually help Gurley's NFL Draft chances "because an injury is about the only thing that could derail his draft prospects" and Gurley is less likely to be injured if he's not playing, barring some car accident or fall.
