Daily Fantasy Football Running Backs vs. Atlanta Falcons 2015

The Atlanta Falcons should be a troubled team defensively in 2015 even with slight improvements possible.  This opens up some opportunities for opposing running backs.  A list of player prop wagers and team future bets can be found here.

Week 1 – DeMarco Murray – Anticipated salary $8600 - One of the hottest running backs in the league, Murray will play his first regular season game as part of a decent Eagles offensive line after being traded from arguably the best in the Dallas Cowboys.

He enters this season as the reigning NFL rushing champ having posted a career high 1845 rushing yards last season.

He’s costly but worth the price against these Falcons.  Murray has not faced the Falcons over these past three seasons.

Week 5 – Alfred Morris – Anticipated salary $5000 – By Week 5 we should have a good idea whether Morris should be on your roster or not based on how well the Skins are playing.  ESPN.com notes that his play has depended heavily on how well Washington is performing as a whole.  An example given was 2012 when Washington did play somewhat decent football and stuck with the run and “touchdowns abound”.  ESPN.com adds that: “When the team trails a lot, Morris simply plays less”.  Morris put up slightly below his average fantasy points versus the Falcons two seasons ago.

Week 11 – Frank Gore – In recent years, Gore has averaged around 11.5 fantasy points for San Francisco.  Though he rushed for 1,000 yards in eight of the past nine seasons, his production is expected to drop somewhat in Indianapolis.  He accumulated slightly better than his average fantasy points two years ago versus the Falcons.  In fact, it was one of his top five performances of that season.

Week 12 – Adrian Peterson – Anticipated salary N/A – We know that Peterson will be pricey for certain as he enters the 2015 season ranked number one overall.  Peterson did not play last year due to a league misconduct suspension but in the two prior seasons he averaged around 17 fantasy points.

Week 14 – Jonathan Stewart – He took over the Panthers' backfield in Week 14 last season and looked promising.  As long as he stays healthy he could be a good option come late season.
