Bad news for the Chicago Bears as they have lost linebacker Brian Urlacher for the rest of the season.  The Bears odds to win the 2010 Super Bowl were initially listed at 20/1 (+2000) at SBG Global.  Having lost to Green Bay on Sunday night and facing Pittsburgh at home, the Bears odds were bound to be made much longer come Tuesday when oddsmakers begin updating the Super Bowl numbers.

Urlacher dislocated his right wrist in Green Bay.

Urlacher, who battled neck and back injuries the past two seasons, looked to be healthy again, and showed his form with a fierce hit on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Sunday.

But on Monday he had surgery to repair a dislocated right wrist and won't return this year, team spokesman Jim Christman confirmed.

"Talk about a guy that's a great leader," said Hunter Hillenmeyer, who replaced Urlacher at middle linebacker. "First, he plays an entire half of football with a dislocated wrist. I don't think there's many people who can do something like that."

The Bears were an early favorite to win the 2009 NFC North after signing quarterback Jay Cutler.  The Minnesota Vikings replaced Chicago as favorites following their signing of Brett Favre.

People inside the Bears facility on Monday called Urlacher's loss "devastating.''

The Bears may luck out somewhat next week as Pittsburgh star player Troy Polamalu will also be out with an injury.
