2010/2011 College Bowl Game Betting

There are three games that kick off the 2010/2011 College Bowl season this coming Saturday, starting with the New Mexico Bowl. 

The game has the Texas El Paso Miners and the BYU Cougars squaring off at the University Stadium in Albuquerque (2 pm ET, ESPN).

NCAAF Odds at betED.com have the Cougars as 12-point favorites and the over/under total at 50.

Head-to-head, BYU is 2-1 SU and 1-2 ATS in the past three meetings, but the last clash was more than 12 years ago, when the Cougars won 31-14 on Nov. 14, 1998.

Next up for the 2010/2011 College Bowl slate Saturday is the Northern Illinois Huskies battling the Fresno State Bulldogs in the Humanitarian Bowl at Bronco Stadium (5:30 pm ET, ESPN).

 

Northern Illinois is a 1-point favorite and the over/under total is 59 in NCAA Football Odds at betED.com.

Northern Illinois has been hot, going 9-1 SU in its last 10 games and 9-1-1 ATS in its last 11 games.

But the then 24th-ranked Huskies were upset 26-21 by the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks in the MAC Championship game on Dec. 3, failing to cover as a whopping 18.5–point favorite.

Fresno State beat the Illinois Fighting Illinois 25-23 at home on Dec. 4.

And finally the Ohio Bobcats and the Troy Trojans square off at the Louisiana Superdome in the New Orleans Bowl (9 pm ET, ESPN).

The Trojans are 1.5-point favorites and the game's total is 58 in NCAA Football Betting.

Ohio is 7-1 SU in its last eight games, and Troy is 16-7 SU in its last 23 games.
