Brazil v. Holland World Cup Odds

Friday's Holland v. Brazil World Cup game odds were now available following dominating performances by both nations

Holland v. Brazil World Cup odds had Brazil a +105 or near even odds favorite at BetUS.com.  The Netherlands would pay out US$27 for every US$10 bet.

Netherlands reaches the quarterfinals for the fifth time, but first since 1998 after beating Slovakia Monday. Brazil will play Netherlands on Friday in Port Elizabeth (9:30 a.m. ET on ESPN).

The Dutch have now won their last eight games overall and are unbeaten in 23 straight overall.

The Oranje, who have never won soccer's biggest prize, went ahead in the 18th minute when Arjen Robben cut inside from the right wing and found the net with a low, precise shot from 20 yards.  Robben had just recovered from a hamstring injury.

"It's fantastic," coach Bert van Marwijk said. "After such an injury that he has the touch to score a goal like that."

The Netherlands won despite completing only 335 passes, its lowest total at this year's World Cup, and only the sixth time since 1978 that it has completed fewer than 350 in a match.

Now they will face the most dominant team in World Cup history Brazil.

Five-time champion Brazil beat Chile 3-0 and Chile became the first of the South American nations eliminated as a result.

Brazil has now reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup every time since the 1990 tournament in Italy, when it fell 1-0 to Diego Maradona's Argentina in the second round.

Brazil's passing accuracy of 76.9 percent was its lowest in a match in which it scored three goals since 1966 and its third-lowest in a win. The only lower percentages came in the semifinals of the 2002 against Turkey (73.1 percent) and in the 2002 final against Germany (72.4 percent).

"It was a very good performance for Brazil," playmaker Kaka said. "I'm happy with how we played. It shows that we are improving after each match, just as planned."
