Jesinta Campbell is this year’s Miss Australia Miss Universe contestant. 

Miss Australia’s Miss Universe 2010 oddscome in at 12/1 at BetUS.com with a payout potential of US$120 for every US$10 bet.

As many a Gambling911.com reader knows from years past, the Miss Universe contest is among the most wagered on entertainment events and we will be covering the odds right up until show time this coming Monday night (August 23). It was just two years ago that long shot Miss Japan paid a few lucky gamblers 60 times their initial risk, so to suggest betting on the Miss Universe Pageant could provide great value would be quite the understatement.

A funny little tidbit about Ms. Campbell: She was recently urged to abandon her plans to wear a sheepskin shrug and Ugg boots as part of her national costume in the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) says the costume is cruel and unethical because it uses Australian wool sourced from mulesed sheep.

Whether she takes their advise or not remains to be seen.

“I feel magnificent in it,” she told local media last month.
