La La Land will be difficult to wager on as the high priced -1500 favorite to in Best Picture at this year’s Oscar Award Ceremony.

The -1500 requires a US$150 bet to win US$10.  You will almost certainly get back your $150 since La La Land is pretty much a lock to win, but the reward or profit is a mere $10.  It is extremely rare for a nomination in the -1000 or higher range to lose.

La La Land is a 2016 American musical romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone as a musician and an aspiring actress who meet and fall in love in Los Angeles.

As of February 19, 2017, La La Land has grossed $133.6 million in the United States and Canada and $205.9 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $340.5 million against a production budget of $30 million.

The film has received a 93 percent rating at RottenTomatoes.com with an audience approval of 85 percent.
