Will Jennifer Hudson's performance of the National Anthem at the 2009 Super Bowl be over or under 2 minutes and 3 seconds?  The bet is a popular one, ranking as one of the top 5 most popular.

Oddsmakers at BetUS.com were able to come up with odds based on studying past performances by Hudson of the National Anthem on YouTube.com.

"Betting on the length of the National Anthem never seemed to garner this type of attention," said Payton O'Brien of Gambling911.com.

The 2009 Super Bowl National Anthem will be heartfelt as Hudson makes her first public appearance since several of her family members were brutally murdered last October.  Hudson's brother-in-law was charged last week and has plead "not guilty" to killing Jennifer's mother, brother and 7-year old nephew.

From the Chicago Tribune:

At the time of the killings, Hudson's self-titled debut album for Arista had been in release for less than a month. The full-fledged launching of her music career-as a complement to her Oscar-winning acting career-was under way.

But all that has been heard from her since is a single without a video ("If This Isn't Love") and statements of appreciation released through publicists and her Web site. She has granted no interviews.

Now Hudson is resuming her career as her album sits at No. 77 on the Billboard 200 chart, certified "gold" with 576,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

After the Super Bowl, she will perform at an industry event honoring Neil Diamond on Friday, and Feb. 8 she will sing at the Grammy Awards, where she has four nominations. She also recently filmed a video for "If This Isn't Love."

Betting on the play list for Bruce Springsteen's Super Bowl halftime show was cancelled midweek following "insider news" that some of the songs would not include those specifically named by oddsmakers.  That bet - referred to as "other' or "field" promised a payout of $500 for every $100 bet.

The Jennifer Hudson National Anthem bet typically has close to even odds with some variances.
