Bet The Oscars 2013: Some Categories Have Better Odds Than Others

If you are planning to bet the Oscars 2013 this evening, choose your categories wisely.  Bookmaker has all your Oscar odds here.

Even though some of the categories like Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress have odds that require a huge bet for a nominal reward (i.e. you would have to bet $100 just to win $1 for Daniel Day-Lewis to win for Best Actor), these “locks” have never lost since online bookmakers began accepting bets on the Oscars in the late 1990’s.

It might be wise to find a category where the favourite is listed with single digit odds in the range of 1/3 to 1/9 as this would still be considered a near-lock in any other event while the price is somewhat manageable (“Argo” would require a $90 bet to win $10 for example, with the $90 refunded should this film win).

Some Oscar categories like Best Supporting Actor do have more competitive odds where two nominees are listed closer to EVEN odds.

You can bet on nearly every Oscar category at Bookmaker here.
