“Gravity” Best Picture Odds – 2014 Academy Awards

“Gravity” is not the favorite to win Best Picture at the 2014, but with odds of 4/1 there is still a shot here with a fairly significant payout potential in the world of Oscar betting.

“12 Years a Slave” is the favorite at -500, but these odds are relatively short compared to other Oscar categories.  Cate Blanchett, for example, is a -2000 favorite to win in the Best Actress nomination.

“Gravity” was among the early favorites to win the Best Picture odds.

Dr. Ryan Stone is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone - tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.

It was one of the highest grossing films of 2013 and this is a category that has stunned in recent years so get those bets in folks.  Oscars is this Sunday.
