‘Hugo’ Oscar Odds: Tons of Categories to Place Bets On

The film ‘Hugo’ has been nominated in a couple of categories, including Best Picture, where it is a long shot with odds of  15/1 or +1500.

‘Hugo’ is a 3D film directed by Martin Scorsese (his first ever 3D film) about a boy who lives alone in a Paris railway station and the enigmatic owner of a toy shop there.

The film’s nominations in other categories besides Best Picture feature much shorter odds.

In particular, Best Achievement in Art Direction had “Hugo” a virtual ‘lock’ but one that could still be bet on at -500 odds.Wager $50 to win $10 (and you get the $50 refunded assuming the bet is a winner).

Best Achievement in Cinematography had “Hugo” at 5/1 odds or +500 where the payout is $50 for every $10 bet.“Tree of Life” is a relatively modest favorite where Oscar betting odds are concerned at -350.

Costume Design has great value paying near even odds.

Best Achievement in Film Editing even better as “Hugo” has slightly better payout odds and is neck-and-neck with “The Artist”.

“Hugo” is the favorite for Sound Editing at -450 as well as Sound Mixing at -350.

Visual Effects would pay out $27.50 for every $10 bet.

Best Adapted Screenplay pays 5/1 odds.

Best Original Score had odds of 10/1.

Of course Martin Scorsese is also nominated but at odds of +450.

WagerWeb.com was offering Oscar betting for all categories here.
