Terror Plot Foiled in the UK

Eight people, believed to be of Pakistani origin, were arrested by terror police in Birmingham. The arrested suspects were allegedly planning an Iraq-style kidnapping and beheading in the UK.

Their target was a British Muslim soldier in his twenties who has served with UK forces in Afghanistan. It is reported by UK Sky News that the terror plot group intended to post a video of the hostage being tortured and killed on the internet.

This startling news comes just days after the CAP EURO event, where security was on the minds of many CAP conference attendees. While the events were outstanding, and extremely safe with beefed up security, some were weary of public transportation.

Many of the CAP EURO attendees refused to take the popular underground "Tube" while in London, instead hailing down pricey cabs to get around. One casino software representative said, "You won't see me on a tube...too risky. I don't feel like getting blown up."

Some attendees described bad experiences with taxi drivers. One marketing representative, who now lives in Prague, said she was called a "F*cking American!" when she got in the taxi, which is surprising considering how strict the UK is about their taxi licensing.

GNUF.com, a Swedish company, kicked off their launch with an outstanding party. The party was at the Royal Exchange, which is set in the midst of high-end stores, which were closed for the event. Music thumped, drinks flowed, and scrumptious hors de ouevres were served.

Security was tight at the GNUF.com party, which was held in the posh Royal Exchange. Mark Lesnick, a gaming event organizer, was randomly searched by the beefy security guards during the GNUF event. Although alarming for Lesnick, it made the rest of us with gambling911.com feel very secure at the poshy event.

The next CAP event is scheduled during Spring Break, and will be held in the Bahamas! Stay tuned for all the hot details!
