Gambling911.com trending had Pawn Stars going off the charts Sunday.

"The Thomas Somach penned article entitled ‘Pawn Stars Vegas Reality Star a Real Convict' is the most read of the year so far," acknowledged Gambling911.com Senior Editor Payton O'Brien.  "This should give some sense as to how popular the show is."

25,209 reads to date in fact since the story was originally published on January 15.

"Sunday alone we had over 2000 reads, go figure," remarked O'Brien.

Over the past year, Gambling911.com has expanded its news coverage to focus on all things "Vegas" and Pawn Stars is filmed in Sin City.

Airing on the American cable TV network the History Channel, Pawn Stars is one of the top five most watched cable television shows.

The series is filmed in Las Vegas, Nevada, where it chronicles the daily activities at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, a 24-hour family business operated by patriarch Richard Harrison, his son Rick Harrison, who opened the shop with his father in 1988, and Rick's son Corey, who has worked there since childhood, and who is being groomed to one day take over the shop.

Somach's story has generated massive amounts of feedback, some of it negative in regards to what may now be a Vegas institution. 

"Pawn Stars" was the 38th most popular search during the 9 pm EST hour on Google Sunday evening. 

Other heavily trending topics at Gambling911.com Sunday included F1 News, which slowed by afternoon.  The Greg Tingle piece focusing on Mark Webber and Sunday's crash in Turkey generated extensive readership during the overnight hours.

The suicide of EOG.com online sports betting portal website founder, Kenneth Weitzner, continues to generate a decent amount of readership.

Canada's answer to the Drudge Report, Bourque.com, picked up on a piece published by Gambling911.com Sunday.

WSOP 2010, World Series of Poker 2010  and Vin Diesel's Sexuality were also trending well.  Gambling911.com ranked atop Google News for The World Series of Poker 2010 and WSOP 2010 throughout Sunday evening. 

Celtics vs. Lakers related searches trended well throughout the day Sunday.  Gambling911.com ranked number one in Google News for Celtics Lakers Odds, Celtics Lakers Line and NBA Finals Odds Sunday night.  Nearly all of Gambling911.com's extensive coverage of the NBA Finals betting benefitted with heavy traffic anticipated leading up to Thursday's Game 1 of the NBA Finals. 

The top referring websites for Gambling911.com continued to be Google.com, Bing.com, Google Australia, Google UK and Google Canada.  Bourque.com and .org combined to rank number 3 ahead of Google UK.  Canada and Australia each generated 10 percent of Gambling911.com's overall readership on Sunday.  US readership came in at 62 percent. 

The Gambling911.com site has enjoyed modest traffic related to the 2010 FIFA World Cup and this coming weekend's Belmont Stakes.

"We are forecasting heavy traffic for both events in the coming days," says O'Brien, emphasizing that coverage will increase noticeably during this time period. 

Cristiano Ronaldo/ Irina Shayk-related traffic witnessed a huge boost on Sunday than died down substantially by Monday morning.
