C'mon. She did not have a baby in April. Ridiculous story that falls apart at every juncture. Wake up! The story is simply impossible. No decent mother would have done what she did, nor would a good doc would have allowed her to take that flight/drive. The hospital in which she supposedly delivered had no NICU. No doc would have allowed her to pass a hospital (while having been leaking fluid for hours) with a NICU (and in which Baldwin-Johnson was on the staff) to deliver a preemie special needs baby in one without a NICU. Stupid or reckless? No. Impossible. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. Why was her doctor a family doc specializing in sexual abuse, not an ob/gyn? Because she was the only doc she could find who would accept her BRIBE. You see, Baldwin-Johnson owed Palin because she had recieved honors as Alasks Family Physician of the Year, largely stemming from Palin's recommendation. Governor Palin appointed Baldwin-Johnson in May of 2007 (less than a month after Trig's birth) to Alaska Health Care Strategies Planning Council in exchange for this cover-up. Any woman who is high-risk (multiparity, elderly, downs syndrome) would employ the best obstetrician she could find. Is there any evidence that this Dr. Baldwin-Johnson has ever delivered any babies before, much less high-risk? Some may argue that as a rugged country gal, she didn't need no "fancy doctor." If that were the case, she would have gone with a midwife, not a family practitioner who, according to her profile, specializes in "child and adult sexual abuse patients." No where on that profile does it suggest or mention obstetrics. Google "Cathy Baldwin Johnson." The whole story is absolutely incredible, and asking Americans to buy it is insulting. Does it matter whose baby it is? No. Does it matter that the Republican VP pick is capable of at least one extensive, documented, complicated conspiracy of deception? ABSOLUTELY.
