Why would Harrahs, which is launching the WSOP online poker room soon hire Mike Sexton (Party Poker partner/WPT spokesperson), Annie Duke (UB partner), Dennis Phillips (no business experience/Pokerstars sponsored player), Howard Lederer (FTP) or Daniel Negreanu (PokerStars sponsored player)? All of these people would be conflicts of interest with the WSOP/Harrah's business agenda, the future is placing the online poker room at the center of their business priorities.Assuming that any of these people will ever be considered shows a great ignorance about what the business of the WSOP. Pollock's role was 20% public relations and 80% behind the scenes business deal making, he was really the head of advertising & sponsorship for WSOP if you break it down to it's raw priorities. Harrah's didn't need a commissioner as most layers viewed his role, that will probably be the job of the tournament director going forward.
