Hey, the show is not about America's best role model or America's most righteous person. If that was the case I'm sure a non fudge packer like you would have won hands down. Like Simon says it is a singing contest...which means you gotta pick a good singer. If the singer is fat like Ruben - it does not matter, or if the singer is a non-conventional beauty like fantasia, or superby talented plus gorgeous (underwood) or just plain wierd (Taylor Hicks) or Gay like Adam Lambert. He's just a kid at the end of the day , you know. A kid who plays in a band and likes leather and piercings. A kid with incredible talent , loads a confidence and showmanship. He's not auditioning for American Saint. So he should nt be judged on his sexuality but rather his talent. I have no problem that he lost - maybe America does not like the high notes he takes and prefers a conventional voice. Thats ok. if he lost bcos he's gay..that's NOTokay.
