Most Bet on Sides

Depending on the book, Michigan or Villanova was the top bet on side.

Villanova was seeing 87% of the action versus the Xavier Musketeers as a -6 road favorite.  This one was trending downwards from -6.5 to -5.5.  Sagarin suggests a line of Musketeers -4.5 here.  Villanova does have a 7 ranking for covering over the last ten games overall.  Seven of the last ten games in this series have been won by the home team but the Wildcats have won three of those away games.  There is a slight edge here for Xavier but not enough for us to make a pick.

Michigan has 83% of the spread backing Sunday morning vs. Michigan State. The line has mostly sat at -4.  We've seen books move briefly to the -4.5 and none that opened at -3.5 have moved back to that number.  Sagarin believes this one should be a PICK'EM.   The away team has won six of ten in this series with the Wolverines winning the last three and the Spartans the previous five.  There just aren't enough strong indications giving one side the edge here.  If the books started moving to Wolverines -3.5 we'd seriously consider MSU.

Consensus Picks
