Pacers Heat Line Opens at Miami -8: Game 1 NBA Playoffs

The Pacers Heat line had Miami as a very sizable -8 point home favorite against a solid Indiana team on Sunday.  All three NBA Playoffs games can be bet at Bookmaker here.

Indiana easily took care of Orlando last Tuesday to advance into the next round of the NBA Playoffs.  They enter this game with nearly one week of rest.

"I'm just so happy for our fans," Pacers coach Frank Vogel said. "They've endured a lot those years when we struggled. To finally see us come back and have a winning team again and somebody that has a chance to do something special this year. That's what they deserve. Pacers basketball is back."

David West (8.8) and the Pacers (15.6) both lead the 2012 Playoffs in points per game off post-up plays.

The Heat, meanwhile, easily knocked off New York in Game 5 of the Playoffs with a 106-94 romp.

"We do not take this for granted," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "This was a tough series. We feel very good about moving on and it'll only get tougher from here."

With this win, LeBron James improved to 7-0 in first round playoff series, which is tied for the fifth best record since the NBA went to a 16-team playoff format in 1983-84.

Miami is 7-4 Against The Spread versus Indiana over the last 3 seasons.  Straight Up they are 9-2 against the Pacers.  In the last two games played in this series, the Pacers have won one and covered the current spread by another.  Indiana has failed to cover the current spread in two of the last six games of this series.  Be careful here, however, as the Pacers are just 9-26 ATS as a road underdog of 6.5 to 9 points.
