Nets-Celtics Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Deal – Latest 2014 Championship Odds

A blockbuster deal between the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics has resulted in a shift in the 2014 NBA Championship odds at Sportsbook.com

ESPN is reporting that Kevin Garnett has agreed to waive his no-trade clause, clinching an agreement on a trade that will land Paul Pierce, Garnett and Jason Terry with the Nets.

Garnett waiving the no-trade clause was the last step to sealing the deal, sources said.

The trade itself will not become official until July 10.

As a result of this mega deal, Boston has become one of the biggest long shots to win a title in 2014 with oddsmakers listing them at 125/1.  Brooklyn was at 15/1 odds and this price was likely to be slashed further so Gambling911.com suggests locking these odds in now.

For added insurance, the Nets were listed at 15/2 odds of winning the Eastern Conference with Miami still the favorites at 11/10 odds.
