Bulls vs. Suns Betting Odds – November 18

Carrie Stroup here with your Bulls vs. Suns betting odds for Wednesday night. Sportsbook.ag Line: Phoenix -3, Total: 204

CHICAGO BULLS (7-3) at PHOENIX SUNS (6-4)

The Bulls and Suns meet in Phoenix on Wednesday and both teams will be entering the matchup on three-game winning streaks.

Chicago is fresh off of a 96-95 home victory over Indiana for its third straight victory and fourth in its past five games. The team has been finding ways to win and looks way more comfortable in Fred Hoiberg’s offense. The Bulls have, however, failed to cover in three of the past four.

Meanwhile, the Suns defeated the Lakers 120-101 as 11.5-point home favorites last game. Phoenix has won three straight games and six of its past nine. The team has also covered in three straight contests and seven of its past nine as well.

The Bulls and Suns met twice a year ago and the home team won each game, but the road team covered in both. The teams have split victories in Phoenix over the past three seasons, but Chicago is 2-0 ATS in those games. The Bulls are also 3-1 both SU and ATS versus the Suns over the past three seasons overall. One thing favoring Chicago in this game is the fact that the team is 16-6 ATS in road games after playing a home game as a favorite over the past two seasons. Phoenix, however, is 15-4 ATS after a win by 10 points or more over the past two seasons.

PG Derrick Rose (Ankle) is doubtful for the Bulls, who are already without SF Mike Dunelavy (Back) for the next few weeks. PF Markieff Morris (Knee) will likely give it a go for the Suns in this one.

Chicago has been playing much better recently and is coming into this meeting with Phoenix after winning three straight. SG Jimmy Butler (1.2 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 3.1 APG, 1.9 SPG) has been the Bulls’ best player this season and he will need to take on an even bigger role over the next few games. With Rose out, Butler will be the primary ball handler in this offense and he will need to find a way to balance out his scoring and playmaking. If he is unable to set up his teammates for easy buckets then this team will have a tough time scoring enough to hang with a high-powered Phoenix team.

C Pau Gasol (1.5 PPG, 9.8 RPG, 2.2 BPG) will also need to take his game to another level. Gasol is a very gifted passer and could be called upon to make more plays out of the high post. His rim protection will also be needed big time against guys like Bledsoe that love to attack the rim.

One guy who could be in for a big game on Wednesday is PF Nikola Mirotic (.11.5 PPG, 6.2 RPG). The Suns play a fast-paced game and Mirotic is the type of stretch four that could give them fits.

The Suns have looked really solid as of late and SG Brandon Knight (20.2 PPG, 5.0 APG, 4.3 RPG, 1.4 SPG) is coming off of the best game of his career. Knight had 30 points, 15 assists, 10 rebounds and four steals in a win over the Lakers on Monday. He will need to stay hot heading into this matchup with a very good Bulls team.

PG Eric Bledsoe (23.0 PPG, 5.9 APG, 4.1 RPG, 2.1 SPG) could go off in this game, though. Chicago is going to be without Derrick Rose and that will give Bledsoe a huge physical advantage over whoever starts for Chicago. He will use his speed to get his team easy buckets in transition.

C Tyson Chandler (6.5 PPG, 10.1 RPG, 0.8 BPG) is going to be crucial in this contest on Wednesday. Chandler is one of the league’s best defenders around the rim and he will be very busy against Chicago in this one. The Bulls constantly get shots around the basket and Chandler will need to alter a few or his team likely won’t be able to win.
