What Online Sportsbook Offers a True Dime Line in Baseball?

BetOnline offers a true dime line up to -190, which is one of the best deals you will find online for MLB.

BetOnline

Anybody who bets Baseball knows the importance of a dime line.

It is the difference in price between the favorite and underdog.  If the Red Sox are listed as a -140 favorite playing the New York Yankees at home, the Yankees would be +130.  This translates into the difference between $1.40 (-140) and $1.30 (+130) or 10 cents.

So BetOnline would offer a favorite at -190 and the underdog would be priced at +180.

A lot of online sportsbooks offer what is termed a 20 cent line.  In the example above, the book that has a favorite priced at -190 would offer the underdog at +170, hence resulting in a lower payout to those backing the dog.

Also note that BetOnline typically offers some of the best prices on favorites, if that’s the route you wish to go.

An example:  The Arizona Diamondbacks were recently priced as high as -143 hosting the Mets, who were priced as low as +115.  On average, most of the books had Arizona -140 and New York was priced no greater than +130.  BetOnline had the line on Arizona at a low -137 and the Mets +127.  As you can see from this example, you are saving a bit on the favorite and getting upwards of 12 cents better on the dog from books offering +115.

In this scenario, should the dog win, the payout at BetOnline would be $127 on a $100 bet, compared to $115 at some of the other books.  That’s $12 more. This adds up over a series of games.  You are also saving when betting the dime line favorite at BetOnline, in the case above it would be a savings of $3.
