A high-priced favorite that's not worth betting, the Houston Astros were coming in at -260 and seeing better than 90% of the limited action on the money line.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Rangers LH Cole Hamels (1-4, 3.94 ERA) vs. Astros RH Justin Verlander (4-1, 1.17)

Hamels received his second straight no-decision after allowing three runs (two earned), five hits and two walks while striking out five in six innings of Texas' 6-5 loss to Boston on Saturday.   He is  7-5 with a 4.16 ERA in 18 starts against Houston.

Verlander yielded two runs (one earned), three hits and three walks while striking out eight in six innings of a 3-1 loss at Arizona on Sunday.

He is 12-6 with a 2.78 ERA in 12 starts versus Texas.

Texas won the last two games in this series though Houston won the eight previous.
