We just have to go with Arizona as a +111 underdog here again as they are now number one in the National League West, have beaten Colorado 5 of their last 6 games and the Diamondbacks are 7-2 in Ian Kennedy’s last 9 starts vs. the Rockies.  

The Diamondbacks are 6-1 in Kennedys last 7 starts as an underdog and 11-5 in Kennedys last 16 starts.

The Rockies are 2-8 in Jhoulys Chacin's last 10 home starts vs. a team with a winning record.

The Rockies are 4-17 in Chacins last 21 starts with 4 days of rest, 3-14 in Chacins last 17 starts following a team loss in their previous game and 0-8 in Chacins last 8 starts after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game.

Colorado is 11-26 in Chacins last 37 starts.

While the Under is 10-1-1 in the last 12 meetings between these two teams, the pitching situation is such (especially for the Rockies) that we are a bit apprehensive about taking the UNDER 9.5 so we will stick with Arizona at +111.

Our other play of the day is on the Cincinnati Reds who have gone 8-2 in their last 10 road games.  They will be playing a Mets club that has had a difficult time winning at home.   The Mets are 4-23 in their last 27 games as a home underdog.

New York starts Jon Niese, who is 1-3 facing Cincinnati and 1-5 in his last 9 starts.

The Reds are 4-0 in Mike Leake's last 4 starts vs. a team with a losing record.    

His team's record is 3-1 when he starts against the Mets.

We should note that the Reds are 1-4 in their last 5 road games vs. a left-handed starter while the Mets are 2-11 in their last 13 games vs. a right-handed starter.  The UNDER here is 8 and worth a look, however, our pick will be on Cincinnati at -112.
