Bud Black to Succeed Don Mattingly as Dodgers Skipper Says Bookmaker

Our friends at Bookmaker.eu, the oldest facing North American sportsbook online, has made Bud Black the favorite to succeed Don Mattingly as the Dodger Skipper.  He would pay $42.50 for every $10 bet.

BookMaker spokesman Scott Cooley explains: “It’s the standard, boring response, but our odds are derived from research and sources. We are always confident in our numbers, but certainly with a futures prop like this, there is a level of uncertainty.
“The internal choices are gaining popularity, but a low-profile name isn’t exactly the Dodgers’ way. Bud Black is the obvious choice given his mastery of developing a bullpen and familiarity with the division, but I think Bruce Bochy has good value at +800 odds. Given the organization’s financial resources, they could lure him away from the Bay Area.
“The biggest deficiency for the Dodgers this last season was the middle relief. Black is a manager that developed that sector of the bullpen with great success in San Diego. He’s got experience, which the organization always seems to want, and he also has a good relationship with Josh Byrnes.”
Here are BookMaker’s odds:

Bud Black +425

Tim Wallach +500

Gabe Kapler +550

Ron Roenicke +600

Dave Martinez +550

Tim Bogar +630

Bo Porter +735

Bruce Bochy +800

Ozzie Guillen +1050
