World Series of Strip Poker?

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has come and gone and now in the wake of the largest poker tournament of the year comes the first ever World Series of Strip Poker (WSOSP) - sponsored by Pokerbility with clothes removed by former Playboy Playmate Colleen Marie and her former Playboy Playmate friends as well as some of the biggest names in poker.

A pot of $500,000 will be up for grabs as Colleen Marie and her former Playmate pals challenge the finalists and winner of the WSOP to the WSOSP. The former Miss. August (‘03) is confident in her ability to take home the prize as she will have Pokerbility.com on her side. Pokerbility.com, an innovative software that provides the player with each hand’s odds of winning and real-time recommendations, gives the player the necessary tools to improve their poker skills and enhance decisions about their next move.

“At the end of the day I will be the only one still wearing my clothes,” said the lovely Ms. Marie. “Mark my words, it will be the most money I ever make for keeping my clothes on!” Colleen is so certain about her win that she will also challenge any radio disk jockey – live on air – to a game of strip poker.

“To say we are excited about the World Series of Strip Poker would be an understatement,” said Pokerbility.com’s Vice President Jeff Brinks. “I have no doubt that those who play against Ms.Marie and her friends will be quite surprised at their level of confidence and expertise thanks to Pokerbility.com. If you think winning the $500,000 will be a walk in the park – I hope you don’t mind walking that park in the nude.”

The next wave in online poker is designed to help players improve their game by offering professional advice and statistical data for every hand played online. Pokerbility allows the amateur poker player to become more comfortable with odds calculation and give them a real chance to beat the best poker players in the world.

And the winner is....

A hirsute freelance writer from Slough, England, became the first-ever world strip poker champion. John Young, 32, secured the win after an eight-hour competition involving nearly 200 men and women from 12 countries.

The contest was held Saturday at the tony Cafe Royal in central London. Aside from rules governing poker play, there were guidelines on stripping - namely that each player began wearing five items of clothing supplied by the organizers.

Young celebrated his 10,000-pound ($18,860) prize by removing his remaining clothes, and earning an additional 10,000 pounds for charity.

"It's brilliant; I can't believe I'm in the Guinness Book of Records, I'm probably the hairiest poker player as well in the Guinness Book of Records," Young said, towel in tow.
