Major Fed finished 2nd in his last race in the Grade 3 Indiana Derby.  He finished 2nd in the Grade 2 Risen Star back in February.

“It’s great to have one that I like good enough to take over there and run him, which I do,” trainer Greg Foley said of making his first start in the Derby. “I think he deserves to be in the race. He’s a nice colt. I think he’ll love the distance and be running at the end of it.”

This horse is 0 for 2 at Churchill Downs.

The one edge for this horse, he's starting from the post position (5) with the most wins (10).
