Here is a look at the National Football League games for the preseason Week 2 slate with betting odds available at YouWager, the latest online sportsbook to join the Gambling911 family:

Steelers at Packers

The Packers welcome the Steelers to Lambeau for their final home game of the preseason.  Look for the Packers to win mostly due to the players that will not step foot on the field for the black and gold.  Big Ben, Antonio Brown, Cam Heyward, and Landry Jones will all miss tonight’s game.  Mason Rudolph will get the majority of the snaps at quarterback as the Steelers look to figure out what they have and what they may want to get rid of from a talent perspective.  Rudolph will be squaring off against the Packers’ number one pick in Jaire Alexander, getting on the field for the first time this preseason.  The Pack will also place emphasis on getting their rookie wide receivers some positive media coverage in the shadow of their display of “lack of effort” with starting quarterback, Aaron Rodgers recently.  I also expect that DeShone Kizer will get plenty of reps as he showed he may need all the looks he can get to prove he was worth the trade pulled off this past offseason.

Eagles at Patriots

This will get plenty of viewership because it’s a Super Bowl rematch, but this one will likely be a dud as far as excitement is concerned.  Bill Bellichick rarely allows much of his playbook to escape before week one of the regular season so look for this game to be no different, rather vanilla.  On the other hand, look for Philly to keep their approach slow and steady with their offensive weapons, including their two standout quarterbacks.  I’m looking for a big game from Jason McCourtey.  After not playing in preseason week 1, it’s his time to show what he can do.  He’s a tremendous talent and he also happens to be the replacement for Malcolm Butler, a guy who played a huge role in the recent success of this Pats defense.  On offense, I’m looking for Eric Decker to find his place in the offense as he rejoins Josh McDaniels.  I’m eager to see that defensive line from Philly as they seem to have more motors than any other squad in the trenches.  Look for a game in which both coaches use this exhibition to examine their teams at critical positions, what the preseason is truly for.

Jets at Redskins

The Jets may surprise us after all.  I did not expect a shutout in their previous preseason matchup with the Falcons, but let’s see if they can follow that one up with another stout defensive contest.  Again, the jets will line up against an offensive heavy team with a great play caller and a veteran quarterback, so the formula may be similar.  So far, it seems that Sam Darnold is what we thought he was.  I look for him to continue to impress us through this one.  I’m also intrigued with the ‘skins backfield.  I want to see how they respond after losing Derriuce Guice to injury last week.  I’m excited to see some creative sets including Chris Thompson and Rob Kelley.

Enjoy the football all weekend!
