10 teams with 70% or more of the public betting action had won by 10:30 pm Eastern Standard Time Saturday evening. These included 2 teams (Missouri and Iowa) which beat the spread by only a half a point. Heavy betting volume was likely on Iowa especially.
The only real big loser for gamblers in games played prior to Saturday evening was Virginia Tech, which won but failed to cover.
All other games received fairly even action.
Sportsbook.com was already in the process of releasing odds on College Football games for Week 2.
