Warren
Cloud a "Good Man"
Says Colleague After
News of Death
Online gambling
mogul Warren Cloud
was much
misunderstood, but
in the South
African's shocking
and sudden death is
being met with quiet
mourning. Much
of the industry is
yet to come to grips
with Cloud's
passing, which was
first reported by
Gambling911.com late
Saturday night just
hours after the
impassioned Internet
casino pioneer
suffered a massive
heart attack while
out on his boat in
the Mediterranean.
"Even though we
didn't see things
eye to eye
concerning running a
casino, he had a
family and a young
daughter he loved
very much. My
condolences go out
to them," expressed
Brian Bailey on his
website
CasinoMeister.com.
Cloud's online
casino group once
appeared among
Bailey's "rogue"
list but were later
removed.
Real Time Gaming's
largest licensee
once attempted to go
public on the London
Stock Exchange but
those efforts fell
through for reasons
that were never
publicized.
At the time his
properties were
valued at
£140million.
The South African
online gambling
magnate used several
aliases and was also
known as "Don
Fortune," "Richard
Brooks" or "Oliver
Curran".
Further details
regarding Cloud's
death were
still not available
late Sunday.
