Utah Jazz 20 to 1 odds of winning the 2007 NBA Championship

Hi Carrie Stroup here and I'm delighted to bring you the latest 2007 NBA Championship betting odds with the surprising Utah Jazz now listed with 20 to 1 odds.  Entering Tuesday night's home game, the Jazz held onto a record of 6-1.

Utah leads the league in thus far and take on the formidable LA Clippers Tuesday night.  The Clippers became a -1 road favorite after this game opened up at Utah -2 1/2.  The betting action at Sportsbook.com (see website here) has been even on both sides.

According to Charley Rosen of Fox Sports Utah's primary syncopater, whether in set-up situations or when the ball is pushed, is Deron Williams. This is Utah's main man. The only player on the squad who can create shots for himself and his teammates. While it's true that Williams is a natural scorer — he has all the tools from the stroke to the floater — he's much more of a playmaker than he was last year as a rookie. Against the Celts, he played like an All-Star —10-15, 14 assists, and 26 points. He always sought to rush the ball into the attack zone, made a number of clutch shots (while forcing nary a one), distributed the ball in a timely fashion, and even made a critical steal in the waning minutes of the game.

If betting trends is any indicators, the Jazz may be handed their second loss of the season.

The big game for sports bettors to watch is the Portland Trailblazers at Minnesota where just shy of 80% betting has gone Portland's way all day.  With the T-Wolves sitting at -8 1/2 and no movement, Sportsbook.com has a strong opinion on this one going to Minnesota.
