odds for most of the
state primaries and
caucuses. With
the Michigan primary
upcoming, John
McCain was an even
favorite with Mitt
Romney coming in
with slightly longer
odds of 10/11.
South Carolina early
on appeared to be
Mike Huckabee
territory. He
was the big 1/4
favorite among the
Republicans to win.
Oddsmakers have Rudy
Giuliani as the even
odds favorite to win
Florida but with
McCain at 2/1 odds.
These were the
opening US elections
betting odds for
each of the state
primaries as of
January 10, however,
it should be noted
that these odds will
fluctuate to better
represent the public
mindset as each
primary draws near
and betting action
is received on
various candidates.
