UFC Pride Deal a Bust?

Fighter and Pride announcer Frank Trigg says that the UFC's acquisition of Pride hasn't been finalized, and probably wont be.

FightOpinion.com has been covering the story extensively in recent days.

"It might completely fall apart," he told Tagg Radio, "because I don't think Pride was forthcoming in all the information they had to give up to the Fertitta brothers."

He compared the buyout process to making a bid to buy a house, then sending in an appraiser to make sure that everything is in order.

"As they're getting deeper into [it]," Trigg said, "they're finding out that everything is not exactly the way they wanted it and what they thought they were purchasing, and the deal might close off completely."

He noted that what he was saying was entirely conjecture and rumor, but said if what he's hearing is true, breaking off the deal would be a smart business move for the Fertittas.
