Tito
Ortiz a "Big Ugly Gorilla" and "Total Moron"
According to UFC's Dana White
UFC President Dana
White doesn't exactly mince words. After Tito
Ortiz complained that his upcoming fight (UFC
73 - See Betting Odds Here) wasn't being
promoted properly, White had some harsh words for
Ortiz.
“There’s a
billboard of his big ugly gorilla face at the
busiest point in Las Vegas,” White said, “where it
can scare kids who are riding by in their cars.
Guess whose ugly head is on our billboard in Times
Square?
“He’s a moron: A complete and total moron. His whole
career, he’s stepped over a dollar to pick up a
dime. I’m sick of him. It’s time he started beating
up someone other than a nearly 50-year-old Ken
Shamrock.“
UFCJunkie.com concurs, at least with the idea
that Ortiz is getting plenty of top billing.
"When you head to
the official Web site for UFC 73 (73.ufc.com), it’s
Ortiz and Evans — not next weekend’s title-fight
competitors — who get top billing."
UFCJunkie.com also
points out that White has suggested that the UFC and
Tito Ortiz will come to terms on a new contract.
Not that Ortiz has sounded very optimistic.

One thing is
guaranteed: Sports911.com will be promoting
UFC 73 Betting all week leading up to the
Saturday July 7 big event.
Last weekend's MMA
and boxing set all types of records for web traffic
at Sports911.com and there are plenty of events
upcoming including
BodogFight's debut in the US, Eddie Alvarez vs.
Matt Lee on July 14 in Trenton, New Jersey.
BodogFight founder Calvin Ayre has had his own war
of words with Dana White,
forcing our own lovely Cuban transgender Sparky
Collins to come to Ayre's defense as back up.
But
Sports911.com long time International correspondent,
Jenny Woo (pictured left with fellow reporter, Kira
Wissman, at the Sports911.com Super Bowl party in
Miami Beach), later expressed how Sparky may have
been out of line.
"Both these
blowhards should get in the ring with each other.
Secretly I think Dana White and Kelvin Ayre have a
thing for each other and Sparky might be a little
bit yealous. Maybe Sparky should be a
referee."
The feisty Woo also
had a few choice words for Brad Marchetti of
Point-Spreads.com who has been covering the Ayre/White
"fight" with an obvious slant in favor of Ayre.
"I know Brad
Marchetti personally and
love him dearly but up to this point
we haven't been quite able to wedge his head out of
Kelvin's Ayrss."

Calvin Ayre
Sparky defended
his/her defending of Ayre in his typical animated
style. "I call like I see it. Dana, he
calls Calvin a criminal. For what? What
is Calvin a criminal for? Maybe Jenny you
should worry about polluting less of your organs.
See what it does to your brain, Sweetie?
Another qualude you are mine!"
Ayre has recently
started
his own blog.
As
for the MMA and fight betting frenzy,
Sports911.com's own Carrie Stroup (pictured right)
was able to determine the most bet on fights of last
weekend:
"Kimbo Slice no
contest, but next up was BJ Penn in the UFC Ultimate
Fighter 5 Finale followed by Ricky Hatton's defeat
of Jose Luis Castillo. And Frank Shamrock got
plenty of play, more so than most of the recent
boxing matches."
All of the marquee
fights (those mentioned by Carrie Stroup) resulted
in favorites winning unlike the last few UFC bouts
where big underdogs came out on top, resulting in
some pretty impressive payouts for gamblers.
"There are those
who believe that those big underdog wins helped
contribute to the heavy betting activity on last
weekend's fights," Stroup said.
These were the
betting odds on Ortiz vs Evans at press time July
29, 2007 (Get

Tito Ortiz -120
