Street Sense 2007 Breeders Cup Betting OddsStreet Sense was the winner of the 2007 Kentucky Derby and his 2007 Breeders Cup betting odds were listed at +400 or a $400 payout for every $100 bet at BetUS.com. These were the best odds we could find.
Street Sense won the Kentucky Derby on May 5, 2007, paying $11.80 to win on a $2 wager. His payout potential is certainly much greater here. Keep in mind that other online horse books have Street Sense with shorter payout odds ($350 or less payouts for every $100 bet).
Strengths: Two-time Grade 1 winner at the Classic’s 1-1/4 miles distance, he’s also proven on the game’s biggest stages – Kentucky Derby, Breeders’ Cup et al – so the environment will be familiar and manageable for him. Very capable of running :23 or sub-:23 fractions deep into a 10-furlong race and can seize control when asked for such steam.
Weaknesses: Street Sense has a tendency to “hang” when outside of runners and does his best running when allowed to navigate a rail-skimming trip, which always isn’t possible given a race’s shape. He’s also yet to test the world’s best older horses on a championship stage.
