Jenny Woo snake bitten by Snakes on a Plane: Her
official drunken review
Ok, first off since my
editor decided to torture me by forcing Jenny to go
see "Snakes on a Plane" I figured I might as well
torture my dog Lexy. I gotta admit though she
looks mighty hot in one of our Gambling911.com
shirts. And while I'm on the subject of our
shirts, if anyone is interested in purchasing one
contact me and
inquire about the purchase of
a Gambling911.com shirt here.
Now onto my review of
"Snakes on a Plane". And guess what boys and
girls, I'm with most critics here, this film didn't
exactly sssssuck! So yeah, I think it might do
pretty good beyond the one weekend opening.

Now on to my review.
Last week my wonderful
editor, Chris, told me that he needed me to check
out this new movie that was coming out. When he
told me the movie would
be “Snakes on a Plane”, I thought he was joking.
The movie looked so cheesy and when I insisted that
my best friend and partner in crime go with me, she
thought the same. It seemed that many thought the
same thing by the look of all the empty seats.
Maybe a total of fifty people came give or take a
few. But in all actuality it wasn’t so bad, as a
matter of fact it was
good.
Snakes on a Plane starred Samuel L. Jackson as
Nelville Flynn, Julianna
Margulies (ER) as Claire Miller, Rachel Blanchard
(Clueless the tv show) as
Mercedes and Nathan Phillips (Wolf Creek) as Sean
Jones. You all probably
know the set up and the story, so I won’t repeat
it. I will tell you that
surprisingly it was a jump out of your seat thriller
with moments of
humor. A lot of grotesque computer graphics and
some very ugly venomous
snakes.
Samuel L. Jackson was of course one of the hero’s in
the film (would you
expect anything else), but so was Nathan Phillips.
I tell you what Nathan
can rescue Jenny anytime he wants. I got a little
jealous when he was
rescuing a cute blonde in the movie, but then again
it was only a movie.
Right in front of me was a guy, Joe, who seemed to
be enjoying the movie a
little more then everyone else. He was very vocal
and always threw his
hands up when someone killed a snake. I didn’t know
if it was more annoying
or funny, but either way I had to talk to him. I
asked Joe what he thought
about the movie and his response was, “it was like
so cool”. Once he
started talking I had to hold in my laughter because
he talked as if he had
been a stoner all his life. He looked the part as
well. I asked him how
old he was and he told me thirty five. After
getting over my continues
laughter I then asked him what his favorite part
was. He replied, “When the
couple went into the bathroom to smoke a joint and
then like started f**king
but then the snakes totally attacked them.” That’s
as far as I went with
him seeing that I couldn’t hold in my laughter any
longer.
Now back to the whole reason I went to see this
movie. All of you want to
know how many times Samuel L. Jackson said “Mother
F**cker”. Well he
said “Mother F**ckin three times, mother once and
f**ker once. I actually
thought he would never say it seeing that he didn’t
say it until the very
end of the movie when he was completely pissed off
at the snakes. So there you have it, my take on
this new thrilling movie.
Don’t forget to join me for the
FHM/Purple-Lounge Poker
Tournament this coming up Thursday.
I’m leaving on Wednesday to fly overnight to
Norway.
I’m really excited and I want all of you there.

Snakes tops box
office
"Snakes on a Plane" slithered to the top of the box
office in North America this weekend, bringing in
about 15.3 million dollars after months of Internet
buzz and aggressive marketing for the movie about
killer snakes on a plane.
"Snakes" edged out
"Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, "
which has been at the top of the box office for the
last two weeks. The Will Ferrell NASCAR comedy raked
in about 14.1 million dollars over the weekend,
bringing its total gross to about 114.7 million
dollars, according to estimates released by box
office tracker Exhibitor Relations on Sunday.
"Snakes on a Plane"
had so much pre-opening buzz that studio chiefs and
observers believed it could dramatically change the
way movies are marketed.
Although "Snakes"
was not screened for critics, the movie has received
much media attention in recent weeks. The debut was
much more modest than many box office trackers
predicted.
